I noticed the trend that many people use AI to create content for the sake of creating content. The AI slop is obvious and despite what many think, it’s easier now to stand out than before. Because you see, when everyone sounds the same and has the same ideas spewed in hopes of getting attention, you, the person who actually puts in the effort to create content, will have the unfair advantage.
On social media this trend is more evident.
Let’s take LinkedIn, for instance. You might have noticed that the content is oddly similar. People post generic advice trying to position themselves as authorities, providing little actual value.
However, things don’t work that way. AI is not a shortcut but an enhancer of abilities.
I believe that there is a place for AI content, and I want to test it on a live website. I’m keeping the domain and niche private, but I’ll share tactics, spend, and real results throughout.
My approach is different.
Instead of posting theory, I’m running a live 90-day experiment: building content, driving paid traffic, and testing what actually converts. AI will be part of my process as a tool, not a shortcut.
The Content Challenge
I will use AI to create content, but I will edit it. The challenge is to see if I can rank in Google for relevant keywords and drive leads.
Since I already know SEO, I will be able to break down exactly what works, what doesn’t, and why.
The 90 Day Challenge
- Weeks 1 to 6 – Build the content foundation
- I will publish 3 articles per week on the experimental website
- I will heavily edit the AI content to make it more engaging and useful
- Weeks 7 to 9 – Drive paid traffic
- Using Meta ads to drive cold traffic and test lead generation
- Document findings: creatives that work, targeting, setup, results, etc…
- Weeks 10 to 12 – Optimise and iterate
- See what works and iterate
- Build an email list
- Compare organic vs paid traffic
These are the milestones I want to achieve and the points I want to cover. Things constantly change, so adaptability is key.
Why Am I Doing This?
I’m looking to learn lead generation from the inside out, not just theory, but real campaigns with real data.
And what better than through a challenge? This way I can:
- Run actual ad campaigns
- Build actual landing pages
- Test actual conversion funnels
And I’m sharing everything: the process, spending, results and failures.
Why Content First?
Running ads to a website that has little content is a waste of money. When visitors land on the website and find nothing, they leave. Articles give me the foundation so paid traffic can actually convert.
Why Document Publicly?
For three main reasons:
- Accountability: Doing it publicly compels me to follow through
- Build Authority: Real experiments are worth more than theory
- Learning in public: Documenting in public forces me to think and express myself clearly
This will enable me to demonstrate my ability to execute lead-gen strategies. It’s not about going viral or building a massive audience in 90 days, it’s about proving I can do what I say I’ll do.
